Abandoned cart calls

Win back an abandoned cart with one phone call.

A reminder email can't answer the customer's question; a phone call can. The voice agent calls customers who left a cart knowing what's in it, talks through what stopped them and, when your rules allow, offers a single-use coupon. Consent, calling hours and the do-not-call list are checked before any number is dialed.

How it works

From cart to outcome in five steps.

  1. The cart reaches you

Your site's server pushes carts through the Data API. The customer's phone or email must be known. Unchanged carts aren't rewritten and emptied carts are deleted.

  2. The abandonment threshold passes

You decide how many idle minutes make a cart abandoned (120 by default). Abandoned carts are listed on the Carts page in the console.

  3. A call is started

Your team starts a call from the Carts page in one click, or your own system sends a request with the cart to the outbound call API. The console never shows the customer's full number.

  4. Checks run

Consent, calling hours, the do-not-call list, the repeat guard and quotas. If one fails, no call is placed; outside calling hours the call is scheduled for the next allowed slot.

  5. The agent calls and the outcome is recorded

The agent says who it is and why it's calling in the first sentence. The outcome code, any coupon and the order the cart turned into show on the Carts page with recovered revenue.

Sample callIllustrative
  1. AgentHi, this is Erusoft; this call is recorded. I'm calling about the running shoes left in your cart. Is now a good time?
  2. CustomerSure. Honestly, the shipping cost put me off.
  3. coupon rule matched · single use · 48 h
  4. AgentI've created a single-use coupon for this cart, tied to your email address. It covers the shipping and is valid for 48 hours.
  5. CustomerGreat, I'll finish the order tonight.

Details

It sounds like help, not a sales call.

Knows the cart

The agent knows the items, quantities and total, and answers product questions from your catalog and knowledge sources.

Coupons within rules

Coupon type (percent or amount), cap, minimum basket, validity and excluded categories live in the purpose template. Requests outside the rule are rejected in code.

Single use, locked to one person

Coupons are always single use and locked to the customer's email. Codes avoid characters that sound or look alike when read aloud (I and 1, O and 0).

Consent first

Cart reminders are a commercial purpose, so the İYS consent check is on by default in Turkey; numbers your consent provider (your İYS integrator or your own HTTP endpoint) doesn't confirm are not dialed.

Missed calls are retried

Busy, unanswered or failed calls are retried at the interval and number of attempts you set, always within calling hours.

Recovered revenue in view

Abandoned, called and converted carts and the revenue they brought back sit on one page. Outcome codes can also go to your systems by webhook.

Requirements

What you need to start

  • Cart data: a Data API integration
  • Your own SIP line and number (Twilio, Telnyx, Vonage and others)
  • For calls to Turkish numbers: İYS registration and a connection to your İYS integrator or your own system for consent lookups
  • The Enterprise plan, which includes carts and coupons
  • A coupon rule if you want to offer coupons; coupons are created directly in WooCommerce, or through a generic HTTP connection on other platforms

Frequently asked questions

When is a cart considered abandoned?

You set the idle time in minutes; the default is 120. Because unchanged carts aren't rewritten, the clock runs from the customer's last change to the cart.

Are abandoned carts called automatically?

A call is placed when your team starts it from the Carts page or your own system requests it through the API. The same checks run either way.

Can I upload a list and call everyone?

You can run a CSV list campaign (Pro and Enterprise). But every row is still called with a purpose and a subject, and İYS consent, calling hours, the do-not-call list, the repeat guard and quotas apply to each row.

What if the customer doesn't want to be called?

When they say "don't call me", the number goes on the do-not-call list and is never called again for any purpose. Where the İYS check applies, the refusal is also reported to your consent provider.

Which store platforms does it work with?

Carts arrive through the Data API, so it works with any platform: WooCommerce, Shopify, ikas, T-Soft, Ticimax, IdeaSoft or your own software.
